The beach represents the terminus of a sand spit for sand moving west along Jimmys-Winda Woppa beaches. It faces southwest and receives both low refracted swell and westerly wind waves. River mouth tidal shoals extend 500 m south of the beach.

Swimming

Three low energy beaches fronted by seagrass covered shallow waters.

Surfing

None, except during big outside swell when a left breaks called Boulders runs along the Yacaaba boulders.

Fishing

Most fishing is done from boats in the bay, however professional fishers occasionally work Jimmys Beach.
