Beach

Corrie Island (PS 3) commences on the western side of the 150 m wide Lower Myall River mouth and consists of a crenulate 1.4 km long beach along its eastern side, backed by low vegetated terrain grading to mangrove-fringed shore on its western and northern sides. The island represents and emerged section of the flood tide delta, and in the past has been connected to and received sand via Winda Woppa beach. The island is flood prone and uninhabited, with the beach only used by occasional boat fishers.

 

Swimming

Three low energy beaches fronted by seagrass covered shallow waters.

 

Surfing

None, except during big outside swell when a left breaks called Boulders runs along the Yacaaba boulders.

 

Fishing

Most fishing is done from boats in the bay, however professional fishers occasionally work Jimmys Beach.
