Corlette Point marks the beginning of a 3 km long section of north-facing shore containing a near continuous section of low energy sandy beaches (PS 9-11), all backed by a foreshore reserve and Sandy Point Road with steep vegetated slopes behind. The shoreline has been heavily modified however by the construction of Pepper Anchorage Marina on the northern side of Corlette Point. It extends for 250 long the point, with the breakwaters extending 150 m into the bay. Conroy beach (PS 9) commences against the western breakwater and trends east-northeast for 650 m to Sandy Point, the sand point now covered with a seawall. Since construction of the wall the beach has built out about 50 m into the bay. The entire beach is backed by Conroy Park, a grassy reserve backed by tall trees, with dinghies stored on the beach and several boats moored offshore.
