Beach

These five Ince Bay beaches are all relatively isolated, low energy and with no development, other than partly cleared grazing land behind beach 1165. Much of the bay's 40 km2 is dominated by intertidal sand flats that in places extend 3 km out from the shore.

Beach 1165 lies at the north-western end of the bay. It is an irregular, 1.5 km long, east facing beach composed of a low, narrow high tide beach interrupted by rocks and mangroves and fronted by 1 to 2 km wide intertidal sand flats. A small tidal creek drains out across the northern end of the beach against the rocks of Glendower Point.

Swimming

All these beaches have low to calm wave conditions and are relatively safe, with the best swimming toward high tide. However they are rarely used apart from fishers.

Surfing

None.

Fishing

Excellent fishing in the tidal creek, while a few also venture out to fish the rocks of the cape.

General

Six natural and isolated beaches, with difficult access to the cape beaches only.
