The two Daintry creeks drain the southern slopes of the Mount Funnel Range, with prominent Mount Funnel, a volcanic neck, lying 5 km west of the northern creek mouth. There is an access track running a few hundred metres behind the two beaches, with tracks to both beaches and to about ten shacks on the southern headland.

Daintry Creek beach (1178) runs for 750 m between the mouths of Daintry and Little Daintry creeks. It is a sinuous, east facing beach with a narrow high tide strip of sand fronted by 500 m wide sand and rock flats and more rock reef further out.

Swimming

Only at high tide as there are extensive tidal flats at low tide.

Surfing

None.

Fishing

Best in the two creeks and out on the rocky headland at high tide.

Two exposed beaches that are protected by the extensive tidal and rock flats.
