Beach

Wright Bay beach (146) begins immediately north of the camping area. It is a relatively straight, but crenulate 12 km long stretch of beach, backed by a foreshore reserve, across which several blowouts have transported sand up to 500 m inland over the backing farmland. The beach receives waves up to 0.5 to 1 m high in the centre which maintain a steep, cusped high tide beach. Past the blowouts a series of 300 m wide vegetated foredune ridges backs the beach all the way to Cape Jaffa.

Swimming

These are five low wave and relatively safe beaches, with usually calm condition on the first four, and low surging waves on the Wright Bay beach.

Surfing

None.

Fishing

Generally too shallow of beach fishing, except in Wright Bay, most fishers head out in their boats to fish the reefs.

General

A quieter contrast to Robe offering little used, low energy beaches backed by a more stable foredune.
