Beach name: Naiko Inlet (1)
General Beach Hazard Rating: 5

Beach

Naiko Inlet consists of two pockets of sand bordered by 50 m high cliffs composed of steeply dipping metasedimentary rocks. A house lies behind the western beach. The two beaches (181 and 182) are both 40 m in length, separated by a 100 m wide headland. They both have high tide cobble-boulder beaches fronted by a sandy swash zone and narrow bar.

Swimming

While these beaches tend to receive moderate to low waves their remoteness, prevalence of rocks, reefs and permanent rips makes them potentially hazardous. Be very careful if there is any surf on any of the beaches.

Surfing

Only a few beach breaks on the beaches with sand bars.

Fishing

These beaches are more popular for beach and rock fishers, particularly those with 4WD who tend to use Boat Harbour and Blowhole beaches.

General

These are seven difficult to very difficult to access little used beaches. The first three lie in the Deep Creek Conservation Park and are accessible to the public, while the remainder are all backed by private farmland.
