Beach

Beach 434 is a 350 m long pocket of sand lying bounded by 300 m long bedrock points, together with rocks and reefs dominating much of the area between. It faces northwest and receives only low waves at the beach, with some surf on the outer reefs.

 

Swimming

Swimming ranges from calm at Gleesons Landing and beach 434, to rip dominated on the other beaches. Use caution on the exposed beaches particularly if wave exceed 1 m, as rips will be present.

 

Surfing

Best chance is on the first Daly Head beach, along the Swincers Rocks beaches and at Point Annie, all of which usually have low to moderate beach breaks.

 

Fishing

Gleesons Landing is a major base for both shore and boat based fishing, together with fishing off the rocks and beaches.

 

General

A relatively popular series of beaches centered on the Gleesons Landing beachfront camping and boat launching area.
