Beach

T Bone Bay beach (WA 1577) is located on the northern side of the small foreland. It curves round initially in lee of the foreland, then trends north-northeast for 2.1 km to the next sandy foreland at Mesa Camp. T Bone Bay marks the southern limit of a lagoon channel that parallels the shore for 2 km to Neds Camp, before turning and linking with a 500 wide gap in the barrier reef off Neds Camp beach. The reef lies 2-2.5 km off beaches WA 1577-1579. T Bone Bay beach is backed initially by a narrow unstable foredune, which gradually widens to the north as the foreland develops, reaching a maximum of 200 m at the tip. Most of the dunes are unstable and migrating northward toward Mesa Camp.
